Dough Art Creativity Workshops

"Learn, Laugh Linger and be Inspired!"

We all possess a creative spark! We are born with the tools - our innate imagination, curiosity and playfulness. But many of us are plagued with fear, self-doubt and uncertainty about our creativity. I hope you will spend a few hours with me to re-discover or perhaps discover the beautiful gift of creativity.

In each workshop you learn the basics of bread dough sculpture while creating a different project. Basics include mixing your clay from bread and glue, using simple shapes to create a each figure, and finishing techniques to preserve your figure for generations to come.

Workshops also include an elegant "Afternoon Tea" with tea sandwiches, scones, indulgent desserts and a duo of teas . Register early because classes fill quickly.

Even if "creative" isn't a word you use to describe yourself, I promise you will love this day. PROMISE!

Many people, exclaim, "What Me Creative?" when they consider taking one of my workshops. I believe creativity belongs to all of us! It is my pleasure to provide a joyful lighthearted day while providing the best I can in instruction. You will find it a place where all are warmly welcomed to learn, laugh, linger and be inspired!

Create it!

Never be afraid to TRY

"Creativity is filled with "mistakes." We often become preoccupied with perfection and miss out on the fun of the process.
Your mistakes are treasures, and so are you!
- SARK

Someone clever once said…

"Everything in life is art. What you do, how you dress, how you talk, your smile, your personality, what you believe in, all your dreams, and the way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home, or party, your grocery list, the food you make, how your writing looks and the way you feel. Life is art."

Bread Dough Recipe

Recipe Using Bread Machine

  • 1 loaf( 1 lb. 4 oz.) day old white bread

  • 1/2 cup of white glue

  • 1 tsp. liquid detergent or glycerin

  • Acrylic paint ( about 1 tablespoon - more for darker colors)

    1. Remove crust and tear bread into small pieces.
    2. Put into bread machine and place on dough cycle.
    3. Gradually add the glue, dish detergent and paint.
    4. Continue mixing until a soft ball of dough forms.

The ball should not be sticky. If it is, add more bread.
If it is too dry, slowly add more glycerin.

To prevent dough from drying out, place in a plastic bag.
Dough can be kept in the refrigerator for approximately 2 weeks.
